IT PROCUREMENT MANAGER/IT PURCHASING MANAGER

DESCRIPTION: Strategic Sourcing Manager will develop and negotiate contracts for all IT-related sourcing, including software, equipment, software licensing agreements and other IT related purchasing. Our Company is experiencing stable markets in this economy and has been in business for 20 years.

REQUIREMENTS: 2+ years experience in an environment as an outside buyer or purchasing manager for external clients. Ideal candidates will also have a 4 year degree, ideally in business, supply management . As an IT Procurement Manager / IT Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for delivering high quality IT procurement services to clients in the private sector. Due to the small size of the company, you will have a much wider remit, with the opportunity to push the business forward in terms of knowledge management and business strategy.
As the IT Procurement Manager / IT Purchasing Manager you should also have excellent communication skills, an outgoing and confident approach, and the ability to deliver high quality, complex projects on time. Experience in the Financial market is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain records of goods ordered, received and delivered to clients.
• Manage Vendor/MFR Partnership Relationships and maintain current status of partnership.
• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
• Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
• Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
• Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
• Providing high quality advice and delivery work to client IT contact
• Producing achievable project plans, and providing regular planning updates

Must have experience procuring: Cisco, Citrix, Microsoft, HP, VMWare etc and working through distribution.
