ARCSIGHT ENGINEER
Our client is looking for an ArcSight Engineer to support the US Army in Sierra Vista, AZ. The successful individual will have a strong background in ArcSight implementation.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Provide ArcSight engineering and implementation services supporting the enterprise SIMS tool suite in all Theaters.
? Provide specific engineering services for system planning, validation, implementation, and support of proposed designs for the upgraded ArcSight product suite
? Advising the Government on current and planned technologies, methodologies, tools, and other best practices offered by ArcSight to enhance the effectiveness of the LandWarNet.
? Provide operational analysis of current or new capabilities as requested and make recommendations based on best business practice, demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of enterprise NetOps tools, procedures, and operational constructs in a large network security operations environment.
? Allocating systems users by creating authorized control list (ACL) for resources as well as understanding and deploying a password policy.
? Selecting and administering proper Smart Agents.
? Installing the components of ArcSight within a Windows 2003/ Linux virtual Machine or other system
? Assigning ArcSight notifications within the system to receive systems alarms and to inform or escalate security related event for proper remediation.
? Protecting the ArcSight Manager and Oracle Database by learning the various ports required for communications between components.
? Download, install and administer proper software patches which include the ArcSight SmartConnectors, the ArcSight Manager and the Oracle 10g Database along with deploying new ArcSight license files for the Enterprise.

REQUIREMENTS:
? Working knowledge of how NetOps products and services interrelate in order to support the LandWarNet NetOps security mission.
? Experience installing, maintaining, upgrading, and integrating the ArcSight products within Network Operations and Security Center infrastructure. (ArcSight Console, ArcSight Smart Connectors, ArcSight Manager, ArcSight Enterprise System Management)
? Experience with the ArcSight Console, partition management, report optimization, and graphical user interface (GUI) customization along with Oracle Database Administration tasks
? ArcSight Enterprise System Management (ESM) Oracle 10g database
? Windows 2003 and Linux virtual Machine
? ArcSight Certified Integrator/Administrator (ACIA) OR ArcSight Certified Advanced Integrator/Administrator (ACAIA)
? Bachelor's Degree is PREFERRED

CLEARANCE: Current Security Clearance or Eligibility for a Secret Security Clearance is required

Travel: This position may be required to travel to other locations within the CONUS and OCONUS in support of this program. May include travel to Germany & Republic of Korea
