BASIC FUNCTION
• Under general supervision performs moderately complex and repetitive inspection tasks using standard and/or non-standard
procedures, gauges, tools, and equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Will perform packaging line, incoming, and or manufacturing inspections of mechanical and electro/mechanical products and/or
component parts.
• Ensures that raw materials, in process, and/or finished products meet company and FDA standards.
• May include training others on inspection techniques and procedures.
• Will work from engineering schematics or blueprints to perform accurate checks and test.
• Will be required to comply with documentation and FDA procedures and policies.
• May interact, telephonically, with customers and/or vendors to resolve repair, inspection, and/or component issues.
• May inspect packaging and/or labeling and literature to ensure regulatory compliance.
• May work from verbal and/or written directions/instructions.
• Will help devise and utilize non-standard inspection procedures.
• Will provide training and/or guidance to other Quality Control personnel.
• Employee has the necessary authority to execute above mentioned job responsibilities, and will have authority to carry out
specific responsibilities defined by quality system documents. Employee has authority to recommend and initiate preventative
and correction action with regard to product nonconformance’s and quality system activities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Very good visual acuity.
• The ability to work with and inspect very small objects and/or tools and component parts.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must be able to observe and note minute inconsistencies.
• Must be able to follow and explain detailed instructions and inspection procedures.
• Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately.
• Must be able to communicate product and/or component part deficiencies to supervisory or engineering personnel.
• Must be able to prioritize work effectively.
• Must be able to analyze and resolve non-routine product issues using independent judgment and inspection equipment.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Reading, writing, math, and measuring skills.
• Blueprint/engineering schematic reading and interpretation.
• Ability to select and operate situational appropriate measurement equipment accurately.
• Advanced and/or Basic Non-routine inspection techniques.
• 2-4 years close tolerance quality control inspection.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED
• High school diploma.
• Formal education/quality control training desired.
