Job Summary: Responsible for developing new business, underwriting, structuring, and the closing of Commercial, Consumer and/or Secondary Market Mortgage loans, as well as maintaining and servicing an existing portfolio. Represents the bank in local community through active participation in community affairs and participates in marketing all of the bank’s products and services.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Monitor an existing commercial loan portfolio to ensure proper risk ratings and early identification of potential problems.
2. Source, develop and underwrite new construction, interim, and permanent mortgage financing requests for new & existing customers.
3. Maximize bank profitability through appropriate pricing of new loan originations, fee income, and selling of all bank products & services.
4. Daily review, approval and disposition of commercial overdrafts.
5. Negotiate terms, structure loan financing based on risk considerations and present credits for approval to appropriate levels of authority with the bank as required.
6. Support the bank’s strong relationship banking culture through on-going customer contact, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge.
7. Ensures that own work, as well as work of any employees supervised, is in compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies located on Company intranet; policies include but are not limited to Fair Lending, Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act. Exhibits a thorough understanding of and compliance with all banking regulations as required by the position.
Requirements:
1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Economics. MBA preferred.
2. Formal credit training.
3. Minimum 8 years of commercial lending experience.
4. Strong oral and written communication skills.
5. Sound judgment.
6. PC proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel.
7. Proven track record in working with all levels of senior management.
8. Previous loan workout experience preferred but not required. |
