| Job Description:

Senior C#/ASP.Net Developer responsible for developing and maintaining complex, multi-tiered, scalable applications in windows and web environment following functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices that embrace the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology within the IT group.
Essential Functions:
1. Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance n-tier Windows/Web applications to support insurance and financial services businesses.
2. This person will work closely with user analysts and executives to define, specify, and clarify user requirements.
3. Ability to quickly and accurately perform troubleshooting and repair of software problems for windows and web developed applications.
4. This person will analyze and communicate technical options and capabilities of open n-tier computing architectures and migration strategies and select the best options for business initiatives. Researches and communicates key industry technologies related to development, server, and network and storage architecture.
5. Mentor/lead/coach/train other system engineers, one-on-one and in small groups, regarding all of the above technologies and tools.
6. Interest in enhancing skills and learning new technologies
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Must be able to understand client business needs/requirement and design/develop solutions. The candidate must have experience with OOAD methodologies and UML modeling tools to build a scalable, high-performance application framework for enterprise N-tier applications.
2. Must have the ability to maintain a balanced perspective of business, technology, and architecture issues and recommend practical approaches solving complex problems.
Knowledge:
• Comprehensive technical knowledge of web based applications
• Leadership skills emphasizing overall enterprise solution, implementation, and operation to support multiple strategic projects and teams supporting critical business initiatives.
• Understanding of accounting and accounting systems, preferably in the insurance industry
Skills/Abilities:
• XSL, XML, OLAP, Microsoft Certifications skills preferred
• Strong development experience in .NET, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, ASPX, SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, AJAX, and Team System.
• Recent project work history with .NET technologies and be able to migrate an environment to C#
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills required to communicate complex ideas and
chains of reasoning
• Must have demonstrated abilities to quickly learn and master new technologies
• Must be flexible and adaptive to constantly changing business conditions

Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree required in technical field
• At least 8-10 years of client/server and/or Internet/Web application development experience.
• Minimum 5 years of development experience in medium to large-scale enterprise application projects (Full SDLC).
• Working knowledge of Agile methodology and Test Driven Development
