Our telecommunications client in Plano, TX is seeking a Sr. Java Developer/Team Lead to lead the design and implementation of complex and cutting edge web applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Full SDLC from requirements gathering through implementation.
· Select and implement web application frameworks.
· Design business and presentation tier components.
· Lead adoption of cutting edge client interaction technologies: e.g., AJAX/DHTML, SVG, portlets.
· Develop standards, code libraries and processes to improve productivity and code quality.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
7+ years of hands-on experience developing web applications using Java/J2EE (JSP Servlets).
Strong experience with JSP-based web applications.
Experience developing web applications using HTML, Javascript, embedded scripting languages and CSS, particularly with the following technologies: Java/J2EE including JSP, Servlets, Struts, Hibernate and JDBC.
Experience with Tomcat or JBoss servlet containers required.
Knowledge of emerging Rich Internet Application (RIA) technologies such as AJAX and DHTML desired.
Experience with OpenLaszlo a plus.
RDBMS data modeling, object-relational mapping (Hibenate), SQL tuning and stored procedure programming (Oracle experience preferred).
Familiarity with XML validation, XPath, XQuery, XSLT.
