Our telecommunications client in Plano TX is seeking a senior engineer experienced with the IBM / Tivoli Netcool product suite.
Your role will be to design and implement and manage a production-ready Netcool Fault Management (FM) system.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Understanding of how to manage events in a WAN environment.
• Hands-on implementation experience of the following IBM / Tivoli Netcool modules: OMNIbus, Impact, Precision IP, Webtop.
• Experienced in deployment, configuration and every day maintenance of the above product suite, including gateway configuration and failover.
• Experienced at building Webtop views, filters, working with probes and rules files. Modify menus and create tools.
• Use advanced probe techniques to configure correlation and deduplication.
• Experienced integrating the Netcool suite with an enterprise's Operations Support Systems (OSS).
• Capable of making recommendations about FM workflow and process improvements.
