Our financial services client in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Project Manager to assist in leading and completing projects following their recent acquisition of another firm.
MUST HAVE A SIGNIFICANT BROKERAGE OR BANKING BACKGROUND
You will work with business partners and clients to drive technology related projects from Inception to Transition/production.
In this role you will:
- Coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams
- Deliver new or upgrade existing products.
- Monitor the project and budget from initiation through delivery.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven senior level skills equivalent to 6-10 years in a similar position.
- Outstanding oral/written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation, project management, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Expert knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word and Visio Drawing tool.
- Previous experience with a Financial Services organization.
- Knowledge of Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology or iterative development methodologies.
- A general understanding of client server and mainframe technologies.
