JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for the design of processes and systems in which the company can more effectively and efficiently predict production volumes.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides service in the form of systems, analysis and reporting to Driscoll’s National and District Forecasters across four berry types and sixteen growing areas. Accountable for delivering an integrated capture and feedback system in which forecasts can be created, communicated and be measured for accuracy. Will partner with National Production, District Management, Product Business Management as well as Product Planning to allow for end-to-end transparency and sound decision making around production volumes. Will be the driver for innovation around short and mid range forecasting tools, modeling and reporting.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience, is required. In addition, 3-5 years of planning and/or forecasting experience is required. Strong knowledge of business analytics and reporting is critical. Must have a high proficiency with data systems and spreadsheet tools, specifically traditional Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint mandatory. Experience with more advanced planning and analysis tools and/or forecasting software a plus. Most importantly, must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and work well in a fast paced, high stress group environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Continual analysis of current systems, tools and metrics identifying with internal customers opportunities for improvement.
• Research around innovations in technology and best practices in forecasting methodology
• Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
• Creating logical and innovative solutions to complex problems
• Drawing up of specific proposals for modifications or replacement of systems and/or processes
• Producing project feasibility reporting
• Presenting proposals for stakeholders
• Design and development of systems as specified in the Job Summary*
• Working closely with a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
• Drawing up of a testing schedule for completed systems
• Overseeing the implementation of said new systems
• Writing user manuals
• Providing training to users of the system, where needed
